Communities reforest to protect their water resources

More than 200 community leaders from San Agustín in Namasigüe, Laurelada, Agua Agria # 2 and El Porvenir in El Corpus and members of two micro-basin committees from these municipalities have planted 2,480 fruit and timber plants. The plants were produced in community nurseries with the project “Conservation and protection of water resources, linked to 3 micro-basins, Namasigüe in the municipality of Namasigüe, Calaire in El Corpus in Choluteca and Baja Grande de Nacaome, in Valle”.

These actions are supported by the PGHTR13GF and have the technical and financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation – COSUDE and contribute to the achievement of SDG #13 Climate Action, #15 Terrestrial Ecosystems and #17 Partnerships to achieve the goals.
