Inauguration of a mesh house in school gardens for the production and diversification of school snacks

Agrolíbano Foundation, in coordination with the National Program for Sustainable Rural and Urban Development PRONADERS and the Departmental Directorate of Education of Valle, supports the implementation of 5 gardens with mesh houses in 5 educational centers located in Nacaome Valle, benefiting 800 students.

The installation of the mesh house included the provision of a green label tool kit and supplies for production, in addition to the mesh house, which contributes to protecting crops, maintaining humidity, reducing evaporation, saving water, reducing damage from pests and crop predators. The aforementioned is complemented by the technical assistance provided by the staff of Fundación Agrolíbano and the organizational support of the educational community of each school, to promote environmental sustainability and food security, contributing to the goals of SDGs 2, 3, 4, 12, 15 and 17.
