Strengthening food security for 1,130 families in 10 communities in Valle and Choluteca.
The Project included the implementation of 11 Grain Banks to guarantee the availability and access to basic grains for 1,130 families in the 10 communities where the 300 producers reside. Each producer capitalized 2 quintals of corn and the equivalent of the same amount of corn in beans to the rural fund of their community. The rural funds were trained to manage and administer the Grain Banks and were provided with the necessary equipment to store basic grains.
With these joint actions we contributed to Sustainable Development Goals #1 End poverty, #2 Zero hunger, #3 Good health and well-being, #4 by promoting learning processes, #16 culture of peace and #17 Partnerships to achieve the goals.
