Members of the Baja Grande de Nacaome Microbasin take ownership of their roles in favor of environmental conservation.
The training process for capacity building for members of the Baja Grande de Nacaome micro-basin committee has concluded. In 20 hours, topics of basic sanitation, environmental legislation and parliamentary norms were addressed. This process contributes to empowering them in the application of their internal regulations, the functions of representatives and to implement action plans that link local actors taking into account the environmental impact, especially on water resources.
This action is part of the project “Conservation and protection of water resources, linked to 3 micro-basins: Namasigüe in the municipality of Namasigüe, Calaire in El Corpus in Choluteca and Baja Grande de Nacaome, in Valle”, implemented by Fundación Agrolíbano with the support of the Territorial Water Governance Program in Region 13 Gulf of Fonseca and the technical and financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation – COSUDE, contributing to SDGs #6, 15, 16, and 17.
