Community leaders and volunteers from 18 communities share experiences on International Volunteer Day.
In order to improve living conditions in the community, inclusive and proactive participation in self-management of community development based on a culture of peace and environmental sustainability is vital.
A total of 165 volunteer leaders, 78% of them women in the 18 communities, share their experiences of the service they provide in their community, to replicate good practices, reflect on lessons learned from the processes developed in their communities, thus contributing to the achievement of the SDGs in terms of global goals to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all as established by the 2030 agenda.
