Agrolíbano supports Health Committees in dengue prevention campaign
Health committees, community leaders and volunteers from 18 rural communities in the southern region are carrying out campaigns to prevent dengue and other diseases transmitted by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, with the support of Agrolíbano through its Foundation and the Santa Rosa melon farm, as well as the involvement of health establishments.
The campaign includes cleaning operations to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and educational talks. In addition, in the communities of the Nacaome municipality, Bti larvicide is applied and some 1,200 homes are fumigated. This contributes to SDGs 3 and 17 by promoting health and well-being in partnerships to achieve the goals.
