Community brigade in the community of Tamarindo Nacaome
The Tucker UMC Mission, made up of volunteer brigade members who reside in the state of Georgia, United States, is developing for the second time in the community of Tamarindo Nacaome Valle, a community brigade with the joint management of Honduras Outreach Inc. (H.O.I.) and Fundación Agrolíbano. The brigade includes activities of spiritual growth and the development of projects to improve sanitation conditions in the homes of families in this community.
Eight families benefited from three latrines and five healthy floors, in addition to financing the roofing of a physical space (gallery) in the community's educational center. These actions will contribute to reducing deprivation linked to multidimensional poverty, promoting conditions for health, education and well-being with access to basic sanitation, promoting a culture of peace and alliances between multiple stakeholders, thus contributing to SDGs 1, 3, 4, 6 and 17.
