Dengue prevention campaign

Agrolíbano Foundation, in alliance with the Community Health Committees, is promoting a dengue prevention campaign. Given the severity of dengue, which has put the entire country on high alert, Agrolíbano has forged collaborations with health facilities and melon plantations to achieve this goal. The campaign includes a series of measures, including the elimination of breeding sites, thorough cleaning, collection and proper disposal of solid waste, selective application of larvicides in water containers, fumigation work and educational talks. The general objective is to eradicate the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, which serves as a vector for the transmission of diseases such as dengue, zika and chikungunya. This effort contributes to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3, 4 and 17 by promoting health and well-being, knowledge opportunities for all and collaborative alliances to achieve our goals.
