Fundación agrolíbano advances school reintegration and retention efforts across 18 communities in southern honduras.

Durante el primer trimestre del año lectivo 2025, Fundación Agrolíbano implementó acciones clave para fortalecer la permanencia escolar en alianza con las 14 Asociaciones de Padres y Madres de Familia (APF), logrando identificar y reincorporar a niños y niñas fuera del sistema educativo.

During the first quarter of the 2025 school year, Fundación Agrolíbano implemented key actions to strengthen school retention in collaboration with 14 Parent Associations (APFs), successfully identifying and reintegrating children who were out of the education system. As part of this effort, school supply kits were distributed to 90 students in lower, middle, and upper basic education, while educational materials were provided to 240 preschool-aged children under the age of six. These initiatives are part of the Juntos por la Educación (Together for Education) program, within the framework of the project “Improving Conditions for Inclusion, Retention, and Learning in Rural Schools,” cofinanced by Tesco. The project includes enrollment tracking, schoolage population reviews, and home visits led by the APFs, with technical support from Fundación Agrolíbano. Through this collective commitment, we continue contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 17.

Estas acciones forman parte del programa Juntos por la Educación, en el marco del proyecto “Mejoras en las condiciones de inclusión, permanencia y aprendizaje en las escuelas rurales”, cofinanciado por la empresa Tesco. El proyecto incluye seguimiento de matrícula, revisión de población en edad escolar y visitas domiciliares lideradas por las APF, con el acompañamiento técnico de Fundación Agrolíbano. Con este compromiso colectivo, seguimos aportando al cumplimiento de los ODS 4 y 17.
