Agrolíbano Foundation promotes family food production
Through the Healthy Families program, the Agrolíbano Foundation provides technical assistance and agricultural inputs to 111 families to promote family food production, contributing to food security at both the family and community levels.
These families are implementing 81 family gardens and 53 chicken coops, producing cucumber, cassava, black beans, squash, radishes and cilantro, thus diversifying their diet. In addition, eggs and chickens help increase protein intake in the family diet. Families that produce surpluses are also generating income from the sale of these products. This initiative contributes to SDGs 1, 2 and 3.
