Information for the empowerment of children and youth

Productive school gardens are implemented in 8 of the 14 educational centers that make up the Comprehensive Development Support Program for Children and Adolescents in Schools (ADINAE) developed by Fundación Agrolíbano. All centers receive technical assistance. In addition, 3 of the educational centers in Valle, which are coordinated with the Departmental Directorate of Education, have been provided with tools for land preparation and garden maintenance tasks, activities carried out by students, teachers, mothers and fathers. Through the gardens, students are trained to produce food, which in turn helps to complement the school snack, and a responsible approach to nature is encouraged by promoting environmental sustainability; thus contributing to SDGs 2, 3, 4, 12, 15 and 17.
